"Being physical with color and form is my love. This fickle, molten mass will allow itself to be coaxed only by those who know its language. It is through this experience that I can share my passion for glass with the world." - Robert Held
Using techniques that date back 2000 years, Robert Held takes glassblowing into new directions by creating layer upon layer of color while adding textures through broken glass shards and threads of molten glass. For over 25 years Robert Held has led the Canadian art glass industry. His pieces are owned and collected by royalty, governments, museums and galleries, including the Seattle Art Museum, Guggenheim, Quest Gallery, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
